HSM Cluster
The HSM Cluster module is an advanced cluster system with the goal to have a high available redundant system. The HSM Cluster provides an instant failover when the primary node fails. All data including log files are replicated across both nodes.Both devices have their own IP address and they share a virtual IP address. Whenever somebody wants to manage the HotSpot Manager they will need to use the virtual IP. This virtual IP will automatically point to the primary node. When something is changed, all changes will be replicated on both nodes.
The FireDigit Cluster module synchronizes the configuration / log files and database between the 2 appliances. When the primary node would fail the secondary node will instantly take over reducing down-time to nearly 0%.
Deployment scenario:
The HSM Cluster deployment shows that both devices have an IP address and they share a virtual
IP. If something is changed on the virtual IP, all changes will be replicated on both nodes.
This deployment will lead to a high available, redundant system.
